So Says the DNC

The Republican Party has thrown in its lot with the terrorists – the Taliban and Hamas this morning – in criticizing the President for receiving the Nobel Peace prize. Republicans cheered when Americans failed to land the Olympics and now they are criticizing the President of the United States for receiving the Nobel Peace prize – an award he did not seek but is nonetheless an honor in which every American can take great pride – unless of course you are the Republican Party. The 2009 version of the Republican Party has no boundaries, has no shame and has proved that they will put politics above patriotism at every turn. It's no wonder only 20 percent of Americans admit to being Republicans anymore – it's an embarrassing label to claim.

Written by DNC Communications Director Brad Woodhouse, issued on Friday, and quoted in the Huffington Post.

Finally, the DNC is shifting into high gear and beginning to fight back against the absurdity that is the Republican Party. It shouldn't take much to counter RNC's Michael Steele.

The article also presents a video from Media Matters – "a telling compilation of the conservative outrage."

  2. I'm not sure Limbaugh deserves the credit for the demise of the GOP. The more reasonable members have been exiting for nearly a year, having been unable to stomach the righteous right.

  3. Don't count your Democratic chickens just yet, Leslie. While I agree with the DNC's sentiments here experience has shown me that the Dems positively excel at being pussies. Say what you want about the Republicans (and I often do) but at least they bring the thunder.
