Baucus Unzips

What is it with these people? Are they so stupid  or egotistical to think they are impervious to getting caught with their zippers down?  Haven't they noticed what's been happening to their colleagues lately?

A spokesman for U.S. Sen. Max Baucus says the Montana Democrat was in a romantic relationship with the woman he nominated for U.S. attorney.

Spokesman Ty Matsdorf says Baucus and his former state office director Melodee Hanes began the relationship in the summer of 2008. Baucus nominated Hanes for the U.S. attorney post last March, but she later withdrew her name.

So that's it! These guys are road-testing people for top government posts. Larry Craig was trolling that restroom for a nominee for something or other. Sanford just didn't realize that Argentine citizens aren't eligible for such jobs.

No wonder the last Republican administration was so full of bizarrely-unqualified appointees. We're lucky we didn't end up with Carrie Prejean running the NIH or something.

  3. I'm going to have to update my post of long ago where I list all the dems and repubs who have been "road-testing." That's a good one.
