Palin Joins the Fox Den of Liars
The Washington Post:
Sarah Palin, who regularly rips the media, is becoming a television pundit at a place where she's likely to feel at home. A Fox News executive says the network will shortly announce that the former vice-presidential nominee is signing on as a contributor.
Palin, who resigned as governor of Alaska last summer, will appear as a commentator on various Fox shows. She will also host an occasional program that will examine inspirational tales involving ordinary Americans.
Palin is extremely popular with her conservative base, which has fueled the sales of her best-selling memoir. But she is a divisive political figure who not only draws the ire of liberals but some Republicans, including staffers who deal with her during her run as John McCain's running mate. Steve Schmidt, a top McCain strategist, said on "60 Minutes" last night that "there were numerous instances that she said things that were -- that were not accurate that ultimately, the campaign had to deal with."

You beat me out by minutes in posting! LOL It figures, eh? Yet, it seems to signal that she won't be running for President... yes? :-)
ReplyDeleteAgree with Gwendolyn that puts her out the race, well that's not bad.
ReplyDeleteBut her teabagger buddies will be watching to see who she will be promoting for the ticket, here's hoping it will be somebody just like her.
Gwendolyn: Oh wouldn't it be great if she didn't run but she may be using this for a "stepping stool." Not the brightest thing to do, but we can't expect miracles from that quarter.
ReplyDeleteI think several of us posted this at about the same time.
Gwen: I was going to come by but which one is your "home" blog????
ReplyDeleteHolte: I don't think it's just the tea bugs who'll be watching her. In fact, I'm not quite sure what to think. She's so manipulative and dishonest (duh)that I don't think she ever does anything without an ulterior motive.
I wouldn't bet that it means she's out of the Presidential race. Don't forget her penchant for quitting jobs early. This is a way of keeping herself in the public eye.
ReplyDeleteIf she decides she does want to run for President, she could easily leave Fox after a couple of years and still have plenty of time.
I don't think it means she is ruling out a run.. she is just trying to up her popularity... However.. I have already heard she has already quit..before she ever got started... lol
ReplyDeleteAnnette: Checked on that but couldn't find anything to substantiate it. It wouldn't surprise me though.
ReplyDeleteInfidel: She has a multi-year contract to be a "contributor," and according to USA:
As a contributor, Palin will provide political commentary and analysis for FOX News Channel (FNC), FOX Business Network (FBN), FOXNews.com, and FOX News-produced special event political programming for FOX Broadcasting.
I could be wrong, but I just have a feeling that there's more to this story than we're being told right now. For one thing, I think she and that stupid husband of hers who walks ten paces behind her, may be in some pretty serious financial trouble. Also, maybe they've lost some personal backing.
If she's going to take this seriously (oh ho ho), she's not going to have a lot of time to be man-handled by the elite, liberal media.

ReplyDeleteSome fool at the Washington Post today said it would improve her 2012 bid...BWAHAHAHAHA.
ReplyDeleteFox News is like superhero movies. You might be big time when you walk in, but when you come out, consider your "serious" career over. Wait, she's never lasted long enough anywhere to have a serious career...ok, then it's a perfect fit :)
Palin doing political commentary and analysis. Seriously, why not Pee Wee Herman ? He's not that bright either. Quit his show for some reason or other. If I'm not mistaken he could see Russia from his Playhouse.
ReplyDeleteBee: I thought you were going to say "it would improve her "IQ."
ReplyDeleteOso: What a comparison.
But speaking of kid mentality. How do Palin's poor kids figure in all this? In fact, where in the hell have they been all this time?
"As a contributor, Palin will provide political commentary and analysis..."
ReplyDeleteHas she ever analyzed anything in her life? Will she be scripted? He ability to speak extemporaneously is dreadful. IIFC, she wrote her "Only quitters quit" Quit Speech and it was painful to listen to.
She does very well reading a prepared script, prepared by someone else. She'll be successful as a media figure, but I don't see this as helping her launch a presidential run.
Name one national news show that she's appeared on and answered questions, or one presser she's given.
None. Nada. She wasn't able to do it during the campaign, can't do it now. That's why it appears even FAUX will limit her to fluff pieces.
She's really good at fluff.
Shaw said - "She's really good at fluff."
ReplyDeleteThat's because she's such a fluff-head.
I think this is more a P.R. thing for both of them. I'll scratch your back if you'll scratch mine - or I'll get her off your back if you'll take Beck. As large a group of lying neanderthals that are residing at Fox, somebody has to be smart enough to realize what a liability she is.
I'm still laughing at Bee!! The whole thing makes me anxious to actually watch Faux to see what the hell she's gonna say to destroy her image even more so!! She's a friggin joke, only a small segment of our population even listens to her nonsense.
ReplyDeleteI worry about us taking the situation too much for granted. I think she's very dangerous and I think her followers are as well. They are all so stupid they don't they're stupid. If you know anyone who came here from Germany during or after WWII, ask them how they're reading this - Protestant, Catholic, Jew, political prisoner, Pole. It doesn't matter.
ReplyDeleteThat should read: They are all so stupid they don't "know" they're stupid - including me.
ReplyDeleteYou scratch my Beck and I'll scratch yours, eh Leslie?
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that she's dangerous but only if she's ever put in a position of authority. I'm quite happy to see her as a sideshow act on FOX; it'll be entertaining as hell and if you think about it this was pretty much inevitable.
JBW. I'm also sure it was inevitable. This is about the only thing she is qualified to do - and there are questions about even that. She does seem to be talented at making babies, just not in taking care of them. We can always hope that her voice and face will be limited to Fox. But - I think we need to be on guard. She can stir up the masses from behind the mic.
ReplyDeleteMooseolini and Faux Noise is a perfect fit!
