Lest ye forget

This is dedicated to my friend Sue's pet leech. This parasite, in her infinite wisdom, is always criticizing the President for a host of reasons, the least of which is his occasional goof when speaking.  Kind of interesting coming from someone who can neither spell or write a simple grammatical sentence.

So, it's time for a little history lesson.

  1. Bush could be entertaining. Mighty costly entertainment, though.

  2. I want to know...

Can you get collars and leashes for your pet leech?

Do they make little cute coats for them to wear when it is cold?

What kind of toys do leeches like to play with?

..oh, GWB...well, "...He was just like us!"

  3. Costly for sure. But now that he can't do anymore harm, I kind of get a kick out of these. His facial expressions and body language are kind of funny. I just think Lisa's idiotic criticism to Obama's gaffs are pretty lame in comparison.

  4. OMG, these clips are FRIGGIN HILARIOUS!!! This idiot was our president, and the right complains about Obama reading the teleprompter?? My God, those people are insane. They must NEVER hold a majority EVER again!

  5. Actually, TAO, I think this one needs a muzzle for this pet leech.

    Sue - she's your pet. ; )

  6. God, I'm even beginning to write like her. It should have have read: I think this one needs a muzzle. Guess if I don't start thinking like her, I'll be okay.

  7. Leech? A mighty fine creature. It least it stops sucking you dry after you're dead ... unlike Republicans.

  8. Thanks for the history lesson before they rewrite it.

  9. The conservatives were wild to start in on picking up on any misstatement or blooper Mr. Obama made because we had 8 years of collecting them from Mr. Bush. They suffered long and humiliatingly. Therefore, they wanted to waste no time in payback.

The problem is that most of Mr. Obama's glitches are usually a result of being tired, speaking too fast, not reading his teleprompter correctly [all president use teleprompter--including The Great Communicator].

Mr. Bush's gaffs were a result of being dumb. Where on earth would he ever have heard "Is our children learning?" No one who knows English would make that mistake. And he's a guy with an Ivy League edumucation!

  10. Obviously Bush is no mental giant but I'm not comfortable with going so far as to say his gaffes were entirely a matter of his stupidity. Look at Joe Biden's goofs but only a dumb Republican would say he's dumb.

I don't want to sound like an apologist for Bush. I'm not. But I have empathy with anyone who for a variety of reasons screws up when speaking. It can be due to tiredness, trying to talk too fast, being nervous, excited, even insecure and it can be due to a disability.

There has been much speculation and denial that Bush is dyslexic, a far more complicated disability than most people understand. I'm dyslexic and do the exact same things - not just in public speaking, but while simply talking to one or two people at a cocktail party, or when writing. I am just as guilty of
bungling words, of malapropisms and spelling errors as Bush.

But the point of this post was not to poke fun at Bush as much as it was to "publicly" make fun of a very stupid parasite who criticizes Obama ad infinitum - for his occasional gaffes, for not being able to see the forest for the trees, for not getting the big picture. And because she is in fact a leech.

  11. I notice the hypocrisy also in those who let Obama slide on this stuff but light into Bush. The leader from the other party is always an "idiot" to his haters. I think your most recent comment on this puts it into perspective, tnlib.

  12. Remember, this is a satire, if you will, directed at a total dumbbell who is constantly yamming about Obama's use of a teleprompter and making comments like this:

"Obama is soooo smart, he said we have 59 states and people with asthma use a breathalyser. And let's not forget that the well spoken person pronounces the word "corps" like "corpse"

She drops these moronic zingers in every single post regardless of the subject. She is nothing more than an ignorant little leech. But, d-marks, she isn't a minority within a minority - FOX, Beck & Co. acted like the use of a teleprompter and these gaffes were going to bring about WWIII.

With one exception (Nixon), teleprompters have been used by presidents going all the way back to Truman. Yet this bimbo and TV right-wing pundits keep bringing it up. To me they are showing their collective rumps.

I think it's a matter of degrees. Obama has made these gaffes - we've heard them - but, comparatively speaking, Bush has him beaten by a landslide. I don't think we can expect 3 or 4 books of mis-speaks by Obams.

I do indeed firmly believe that Bush is stupid and that he will most definitely go down in history as one of the top ten worst presidents, but I do not think his gaffes and malapropisms have anything to do with his stupidity. I have to laugh at them just as I have to laugh at my own. It's just the way it is.
