  1. Thank you, Leslie!!! Leave it to Rachel to ask the right questions. Her sensitivity was so great in dealing with the pain these good people are experiencing/will experience for a long, long time.

    1. I've been so touched by the courage of these parents. I just don't think I'd have it in me to calmly articulate my thoughts after such an unspeakable tragedy. Here's another mom who is just so eloquent and so "together".

  2. I don't know how these people maintain such poise and dignity in the face of unspeakable horror. I'd be all stabby, I'm afraid...

    1. I'm a basket case and none of my friends or family were involved. "We have to keep talking". Hell, I start blubbering the minute I try.

  3. I, too, have been struck by the decency, intelligence and dignity the parents and others exhibit. My heart hurt for the couple Rachel Maddow interviewed, as it has for all the family and friends of those killed in Newtown.

What a sharp contrast to the boisterous, ignorant yahoos braying and bloviating about how the president is out to take away their guns and destroy the Second Amendment. The contrast is stark and telling.

  4. I couldn't have said this any better, especially the "boisterous, ignorant yahoos braying and bloviating . . ." But let's not forget the media's role in all this. You'll see what I mean in my next post. :)
