Former President George H. W. Bush, referring to the tone of national discourse, said, "I don't like it. The cables (TV) have a lot to do with it."
Sounds good on the surface, but then comes the usual Republican double-speak. "It's not just the right. . . . there are plenty of people on the left." He targeted MSNBC's Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow, calling them "sick puppies."
One might point out that based on the last election, and votes do count, most of the country agrees with the so-called leftist media.
He did allow that "verbal attacks on Mr. Obama sometimes cross the line of civility." How about "President" Obama?
