I've always said this man is not a maverick but a shoot-from-the-hip kind of guy. I've always said he lacks good judgement and has a callous disregard for what's best for the country. His selection of that woman is proof of the pudding.
Crooks and Liars captures Matt Lauer's interview with the old boy this morning as he finally admitts that he didn't take much interest in the vetting process of that woman.
The old fella was very uncomfortable with the line of questioning, perhaps he is saving it for HIS book.
ReplyDeleteI saw this last night, he was ready to punch someone in the face he was so angry! He makes a fool of himself every time he tries to defend his Palin decision!
ReplyDeleteHolte: I imagine anything he writes will be about his POW experience.
ReplyDeleteSue: He was obviously uncomfortablt. : )
Sue: I have to confess that I didn't pay that much attention to the date. Good thing it wasn't last month!
ReplyDeleteJust like always he cheats his way through everything. Rudi was defined by VP Joe as "a Noun, a Verb and 9-11" Mr. Song Bird could be defined as " a Noun, a Verb and a POW with brain damage" because of the drugs he did to forget the time he spent as a guest of the Viet Cong after he started Singing his guts out, and to help him hide his shame at disappointing his Father and Grandfather, the Admirals, whom he could never live up to. So that's why he cheated and stole, trying to better himself to prove he was as good as they were... but all he did was prove he was nothing.
ReplyDeleteAnnette: His relationship with his dad was a strange one - something like "The Great Santini?" I've always felt he has a huge inferiority complex and a driving need to be liked, even if it means prostituting himself.
ReplyDeleteBut, I do think, for whatever reasons, he did have a horrendous time in Nam. Maybe it was all about dad, but the fact remains that it was
pretty tough on him. I don't know if his drug use was self-imposed or prescribed by a doctor.
But I'll take your word for it since you are always full of these little nuggets of information which I have found to be true and which I always appreciate reading.
