Run Johnny run

As the whole wide world knows by now, Sarah Palin couldn't keep her fingers from flying as she twittered: "Don't Retreat - Instead, RELOAD." Yeah, baby!

But when the dame is hot she's really hot. The next day she posted a "target" list of 20 Democratic candidates she wants to push off the face of the map in November. A list is one thing but the map with gun sites over each of the districts where the lawmakers are located is beyond the pale, Palin.

After saner minds raise a ruckus Johnny Boy rides to her rescue on his white steed, Slippery Slip. "Howdy, folks. Aw shucks, this little gal was just havin' a little fun. She didn't mean anything by it. Can't cha take a joke?"

On NBC's Today Show Ann Curry asked the white knight about what she described as Palin's "incindiary language."

"Those words have been used throughout of my political career," McCain added. "There are targeted districts, and there are areas that we call battleground states, and so please, that rhetoric and kind of language is just part of the political lexicon. There is no place for threats of violence or anything else, but to say that someone is in a battleground state is not originated today."

After a testy back-and-forth, Curry said, "I think it is the 'reload' and 'crosshairs' that's caused a lot of people to be concerned, senator."

You're damn tootin' Ms Curry.

Of course, it's about all that anger those commie, socialist fascist Democrats stirred up when they passed that darn health care bill. Oh Johnny, you ain't so good. Get on ole Slippery Slip there and ride out into the sunset. Don't get any burrs under your saddle.

  2. Of course all this rightwing crap will change the minute a liberal picks up a pop gun. The righties will start yelling about Civil War and look all self-righteous and smug.

  3. I bet Palin has fantasies of strafing liberals from a helicopter, like the wolves. She's probably getting a custom-made video game of it.

  4. McCain has shed his scaly skin yet again, he gets worse as he gets older.

  5. News Flash: I deplore the guy. Unfortunately, the fellow who's trying to knock him out of his seat is a thousand times worse.

    Thanks Mike.

  6. I agree about Hayworth being far worse! If he wins the teabaggers will surely be energized even more than they are now!

  7. Taken in no context whatsoever, McCain is right. But there is always context, and the current conservative context is mob action and threats that spilled into actual violence. Palin is siding with this and egging it on. He ought to know that, and likely does.

McCain has turned out to be nothing but a sore loser.

  8. I said this elsewhere today. What the republicans are doing can be compared to that abuser of partners. I had to do it because he/she made me get angry so I had to beat them down to listen to me. Cantor's story has been all but debunked and they are still using the "both sides" do it argument. Hayworth(sp) is way worse than McCain crazy ways wise. It is really too bad PO took Napolitano for his cabinet, she would have taken this seat in a minute.

  9. Sue: Hayworth is a certified nut - but hey, so is McCain.

K:It's about that judgement thing or lack of it. Not only is it a decidedly bad time to say these things, but to post a map with gun sites targeting the area takes it to a whole new level. The woman lacks wisdom and so does he.

Jess: Hadn't thought about Napolitano. Good point.

  10. Infidel: This is a little late. Sometimes I don't notice your comments because most everyone else has a pic of some kind and yours just seem to get hidden from view. Will try to be more diligent in future. I always value them either for their humor or their insight, or both.

Palin definitely has some kind of misguided fantasies. I wouldn't be at all surprised if she did come out with some kind of video game with her as the heroine. Dressed in black leather shorts and halter, and black boots with spike heels. "Soccer Mom, Savior of the Nation."
