BJ just sent the following to me via email. If this is supposed to be an April Fools joke, it ain't funny.
(CNN) - National Republicans praised President Obama Thursday and declared that he has "kept all his promises" and is "truly the greatest president ever."
No, this is not an episode of “The Twilight Zone.” It's an April Fools Day joke from the National Republican Senatorial Committee.
In a new Web video, the GOP organization tasked with regaining control of the Senate this November, cheers Obama for solving global warming "by replacing cars with low-emission unicorns” and achieving an unemployment rate of "negative 39 percent," among other “accomplishments.”
If it wasn’t already clear, the committee quickly said it's only joking:
"Get real,” an announcer abruptly said. “ObamaCare is just the latest in a long list of broken promises by the liberals in Washington. No transparency. A government takeover of health care. And even more jobs threatened by billions in mandatory new health care costs. Promise after promise…broken. Don't be fooled by Obama and the Democrats in Congress."
Taste? Decorum? Class? Why would we expect any of these?
ReplyDeleteThey really are despicable baboons.
ReplyDeleteThey, themselves, are a joke. The punch line is 10% unemployment, staggering debt, crumbling bridges and levees, wars with no end, etc.
ReplyDeleteLike Jolly Roger said.
ReplyDeleteSen. John Cornyn of Texas, one of Karl Rove's gifts to the body politic, heads the Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee. So, you can be sure lies and distortions will flow like Lone Star beers on a hot Dallas Saturday night throughout this campaign year.
Consider the source and don't believe a thing they say.
Even baboons are often actually funny.
ReplyDeleteI saw this posted at Yahoo, when I was reading the comments it was disgusting. All I read were talking about the lies this president has supposedly told and how much they hated him and all the democrats in congress...
ReplyDeleteThe hate and vitriol is just entrenched with some of these people. How anyone with a mind can believe some of this stuff just amazes me. After 8 years of Bush now people are afraid of the government... how can this be.
They were blaming the Democrats for things that happened 6 and 7 years ago... Things that Bush did... How can that be the fault of this president is just beyond comprehension.
One of the things about being Republican, about being preposterous is that, but definition, cause and effect are confused or at least are bidirectional.
ReplyDeleteIf as we're told, FDR caused the Depression with banking reforms and not the Republicans with their tax cuts, it's just as Repubological that Obama caused the collapse that began in 2006.
That's the trouble with you Libs - no imagination.

ReplyDeleteIt's those unicorns.....Obama can ride them back in time -- that's how he planted those fake birth announcements in Hawaiian newspapers to hide the fact that he was born in Kenya.
I've always said one man's crap is another man's perfume. Crap is like perfume to republicans.
