Rachel Maddow Exposes GOP Hypocrisy

Before some right-wing nut case leaves a nasty in my comments section - which will surely be deleted - know that Rachel Maddow is a Rhodes scholar and an Oxford Ph.D. in political science. Her doctoral thesis was titled, “HIV/AIDS and Health Care Reform in British and American Prisons.”

She and her crew are top-notch researchers. In fact they are the best in the industry right now - bar none

  1. I ranted on this at Mikes and don't have the energy to do it again, other than to say in such dire straits the hypocrisy is truly disgusting.
Other than a strict Austrian School type, the opposition is entirely partisan. And to violate your supposed principles and accept what you oppose is contemptible.

Couldn't say it better myself. Thanks for coming by. I didn't really expect any comments because it's in so many places. In fact, I got this from Mike's.

  5. Rachel Maddow is a national treasure. She is, sadly, without a peer. No one comes close.

  6. Vig: Isn't it sad? We could sure use an Edward R. Murrow - although he personally was somewhat of a jerk - Cronkite, Severeid, and so many others. I'm sure they're all turning over in their graves - including William Paley.

Sometimes I want to send an email to CBS telling them Murrow and Paley are looking over them and are about to vomit right on top of them.

BJ: Do you have a friend who could voice record it? It is really a must hear.

  7. You're so right about the care and quality of thought and research that goes into Maddow's show (Olbermann's, too), giving it integrity and authority. Maddow is quick to say she's not a journalist, but as on her Air America program, she operates at a higher journalistic standard than many journalists.

That exposing of Republican hypocrites had a doozy of a follow-up last night, in which Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla., got a second helping of much deserved bad PR.

  8. I hope she keeps putting on the pressure. Maybe some other media outlets will get more serious about their craft. I'm glad to hear that Inhofe got a "second helping." We really, really need more of this kind of expose treatment instead of "oh, okay - whatever you say."
