Thank You, Republicans

This morning I would like to thank the Republicans. Yes, you heard right. Thank you, GOP. Your greed, lies and abject stupidity have finally galvanized Democrats, Independents, and even conservatives, into a united force that will chew you up and spit you out. No guns necessary.

Thanks to Gwendolyn Holden Barry.

  1. Yikes! Was fooling around with my "Favorite Blogs" and somehow deleted most of them. Damn. Must be a Republican conspiracy.

  2. I hope you are right. Unfortunately, indignation often does not last much longer than indigestion, and the 2012 election is still a ways off.

  3. But there's one guaranteed constant. Republicans will still be stupid. ; )

  4. I said this last night, for the first time in my life I'm seeing democrats with a protruding backbone and I LOVE IT!!! We really are looking like a fighting united party and we can accomplish much!

  5. Love the Will Rogers quote!

We can grow a spine, but real change won't come unless more Americans "grow a brain."

  6. I hope so. But if the Executive and the Senate continue to mollycoddle the Rushpubliscums, people will turn away in revulsion. A stand must be made.

  7. Maddow made a powerful, fact-based presentation. I saw the broadcast. I hope with all my might the White House watched it and was moved by it. We need to see more of the kind of principled determination and courage of convictions Wisconsin's Democratic senators are showing coming from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. That shouldn't be too much to expect.

  8. SWA,
Any progress on debugging that blog of yours?
Still no access. Keep getting a 404 error.

  10. Octopus, I have my blog back up and running, but with some no-nonsense security applied.

I apologize for the trouble you're having and hope you will try again using the URL tnlib provided. That might be all that's needed. If not, I need some info from you.

If you will go to a site called Robtex, you'll see a display that includes the following near the top:

    swiss army knife internet tool
in the searchbox above you can search for:
RBL checks multible RBL:s if a specific is listed (171.30.76.70)

The set of numbers in parentheses, four sets with periods between, will be your IP number. If you will copy that number and send it to me, I will make sure the door at Oh!pinion is always open for you. Send to sx__xandersonxatxhoxtmaixl.xcoxm

    (Remove the x's.)

Thanks for mentioning that you're having trouble. If anyone else here is not able to join in the melee, please also send your IP number, and I'll make sure you're not blocked at my end.

  11. I hope you're right, Tnlib, but I gotta tell you, I'm skeptical that the heat can stay on long enough to outlast next week's celebrity death/meltdown/etc.

  12. Frodo is a fan of the commercial with the background song "Worry, worry, worry. . .(featuring a dog with a bone to hide or protect)." Watching Democratic Senators with names like Webb, Akaka, Bingaman drop out makes Frodo very uneasy, especially if a Supreme Court Justice named Kennedy hangs it up before 2016.

  13. I know this sounds idealistic, maybe unrealistic, but I think our biggest enemy is giving in to despair and scepticism.
