Lieberman's expert advice to the Democrats

The insurance- industry-supported Joseph Lieberman (I-Conn.) sounds more and more like his Republican colleagues who also crave attention - John Boehner, John McCain, Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich, among others. Boy, howdy, do they like to hear themselves talk. . .and talk. . .and talk.

Today on "Face the Nation," this switch-hitter urged Democrats to drop all provisions from the health care bill if they want "to get reform passed on a bipartisan basis."

One thing Lieberman suggested be taken out is a public option, which is already gone, thanks in large measure to him. Wonder where he's been. He doesn't want to expand Medicare to those as young as 55 and he doesn't think the CLASS Act, which would finance long-term care, is such a hot idea either. Of course, there were no suggestions as to what the Republicans should give up.

So why doesn't this elfin, who leaps from one bush to another, just join the Republican party? The Democrats would be happy to sever his strings and send him on his way.

And Obama was criticized for bowing to the Japanese Emperor?

  1. Hatred has motivated Joe to destroy anything Democrats believe in.

This is where Rahm Emmanual really disappoints me as a fellow Illinoisan. We punish those that get ut of line. At least we used to. Joe has had his ass kissed.

  2. Thanks, Sue.

And Truth, you are so right. It probably won't do any good but I just sent an email to the White House urging the president to move on from trying to be bipartisan. It hasn't worked and it's not gonna.

While JL may think he's a star, I don't think people appreciate a turncoat, no matter which way he turns. He's not trustworthy.

  5. JoeBobLieberman is still mad because the Dems deserted him last election. He WILL NEVER get over that. As a result he will will vote against and BE against anything and everything the Dems put forth. I hate the prick, but I understand where he is coming from. It is called vengeance!

  6. Yeah - I just wish the Dems would ex-communicate him from whatever piddling committee he's on and lock him out of the cloak room.
